DIgital scales for the bathroom or weighing yourself are nowadays built with four digital pressure sensors where the scale touches the floor. The processor inside of the scale takes the measurements from the sensors, compares it to it's internal calibration of where zero pressure is, and then displays the weight accordingly. We've all stepped on an old, analog scale and insisted the number was wrong-it must be the scale! But is buying an expensive, new digital scale with all its extra features any more accurate.
In general, digital bathroom scales are more accurate than mechanical ones. But for the most accurate reading, any bathroom scale must be set up correctly and used consistently. Digital is easier, but more expensive.

Cheap digital is worthless imho. I tried one and it wouldn't hold zero long enough to even get a weight. I had a super expensive one from work that failed calibration probably a couple k and it was great.

What are the most accurate body scales? Mechanical? Electronic? Body fat bluetooth? I've been having a rough week with my weight loss not my actual lifestyle change/diet. I haven't cheated, haven't caved, still weighing all of my food, still doing 10,000 steps plus a day, still doing my calorie deficit, and my losses have been far less than usual, I've lost. The FX120i will register tiny little increases when you trickle it in but with my other digital scales it takes a lot more before it even registers any increase at all.

It depends on the scale, both analog and digital scales can be inaccurate. A calibrated analog scale is usually more accurate than a digital scale. As long as your digital scale is reliable then it really doesn't matter, it's the net change that matters.

The beam scale is more accurate provided it's used properly. You should not be touching the weights your sliding back and forth with bare fingers (oil residue - because even small changes to those weights can change resulting weight by pounds), kept free of dust and moisture, etc. I use electric scales and make sure to calibrate them properly before every use.
I use two of the same brand (had an old one bought a more updated one) they are always within.2 of each other. Always weigh on a hard, flat surface. I make sure my posture is correct.
I weigh the same time every morning after the toilet before food and drink. Now I'm reading that apparently some people are. ELI5: Why do doctors' offices often use those weird scales where you slide those two metal brackets over numbers until the tip balances?
