thanks but I dont need covers for taps I need covers for the holes left on the sides of the bath from where handles used to be. I need to cap a hole in the bath top where i had a mixer tap as its one of those corner bath showers,and its going to have the shower part fitted tomorrow.I used it as a bath only and now i need to cover the hole.any ideas? surely you can buy plastic caps from somewhere,i havent seen em cheers. Free returns. Hi - how do you guys do this? The bath I want does not have the tap holes - it is a standard fibreglass shell with acrylic inner surface. Would a normal TCT hole saw be OK? I presume the diameter should give a comfortable clearance for the tap tail threads.

They are thin, and effectively "hollow" underneath. If the taps were done up tight enough to not move, they'd crush the flat area of the cover down towards the surface of the bath. You would need to fit something under the covers, like a large plastic washer, say 0.5mm less in depth than the depth under the cover, with a 29mm hole in the centre.
