The fan switches on and off when the lights are switched on either bathroom and there's an isolation switch connected. See what you mean about two lives in together and two out but what about the bridged wire? Your red cable goes to COM on the new switch. The black cable (sleeved red) goes to L1.
Technically it doesn't matter which way round the two cables are in this scenario but this follows the normal convention. You'll need to get a new 2-gang grid switch, populating it with a 10A 1-way or 2-way light switch, and a 20A double-pole switch, to replace the existing setup. But pay attention to what others are saying about how the wires have been terminated in your old switch.
It also looks like at least one of your brown wires is nicked, exposing the copper inside. We've just moved in and there is not light switch for the bathroom, just a blanking plate. I removed the plate and this is what I'm faced with (photo attached).
there is an extractor fan in there that has an isolator switch above the bathroom door. I bought myself a new light switch but no idea.
