Has anyone used ikea kitchen cabinets for a bathroom? We have a vanity that would need to custom made but the price. Since kitchen base cabinets are 24in deep was wondering if we would be able to make them 21 in deep. If we cut off the 3in are we still able to make them structurally sounds.
Has anyone had issues using the Sektion cabinets for a bathroom vanity? We have enough space to use standard depth. I'm thinking I'd use a sink cabinet for the sink and a drawer unit next to it so no fussing with drawers and plumbing. I got an entire kitchen (cabinets, appliances, and quartz counters with a big-ass 9x4 island), bathroom (cabinets and counters), and more Billy bookcases than I can count for 15K, installed.

The drawer and door hardware IKEA sells for their kitchen cabinets are excellent. Almost all of the hinges and drawer slides are Blum and can be found elsewhere for a much higher price tag. If you want to get a different counter and sink, you can built a vanity out of their kitchen cabinets instead.
Either do 2 24s, or 12-24-12 cabinets. You can customize doors and drawers to your heart's content. I'm using their kitchen cabinets in one bath since I can fill in the entire space between walls, 15"+30"+15".

IKEA cabinets are honestly amazing. Custom cabinetry definitely has its place, but for the money and the customizability of ikea, they can't be beat. Their kitchen designer tool is also super handy.
Get yourself soft close everything and pull out drawers instead of doors on your base cabinets, its changed my life for the better! Reply reply Think_Society7622. I'm planning to replace our existing kitchen and am 95% sure the new cabinetry will come from Ikea. I used it a few year ago in our laundry room and am overall happy with it and am familiar with the build installation process but a kitchen is a much bigger job.
